Buying a used car from another person in Pennsylvania.?

Hi,I am planning to buy a used car from another person and I have no ideas how the car title transfer process goes. The car I am buying is just a project car, something that I would like to take apart and put it back. I heard that it is the law you need auto insurance to transfer car title, is it necessary? Is there something else that I should know?Thank you and any website link would greatly help me.

Jay

Yes you will need liability insurance before you transfer the car in PA. In that state, all you need to do is go to a title/plate agency and complete the transaction. The DMV is just for licenses in PA.

Can I get My canceled Auto Insurance policy reinstated at the same rates i had before i got cancel?
it usually depends on how long you have been without coverage, and if your driving record has changed. You need to get on the phone with Geico, speak with a real person and explain that you're not used to paying this on a monthly basis. They can set you up on a 6 month payment plan. But if...
